The Headland Preservation Group (HPG) has prepared a response to matters raised in the 'Middle Head / Gubbuh Gubbuh Renewal Project' (Renewal Project) referred by the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust (Harbour Trust) to Minister Watt for approval pursuant to the provisions of the EPBC Act, being Application Number 03200.
Having considered all aspects of the Proposal, HPG is of the opinion that the proposal to demolish the Barracks, an action taken on Commonwealth Land by the Harbour Trust, will have a 'significant Impact' on the heritage of the Middle Head Military precinct and should be a 'controlled action'.
