Dear Members and Supporters I am writing to update you on Mosman Council's proposed redevelopment of amenities at Middle Head Oval. The Harbour Trust has instructed Mosman Council to withdraw and amend the recently exhibited plan for Middle Head Oval facilities. We understand that these changes relate to the failure of the appointed heritage consultants to consider Commonwealth Heritage Listings, which may impact the proposal in the Statement of Heritage Impact supporting the plan. Due to this major oversight, the online 'Have your say' portal for community responses was temporarily on hold until Mosman Council submitted amended documentation supporting their application. Mosman Council has now revised the documentation and submissions are being accepted again with an extended period for community consultation until Friday 23 August, at 5.00 pm. View the revised documents here > While including an examination of the missing Commonwealth Heritage Listings in the revised Statement of Impact, the heritage consultants have maintained their position that this substantial and inappropriate development will have NO significant impact on the natural, cultural and heritage values of Middle Head. We will continue to review the updated documents in detail and will let you know HPG's position as soon as possible. The Harbour Trust has advised HPG that any submissions received to date will be considered in its assessment of the development application unless submitters wish to change their submission in light of the revised information. The Harbour Trust will contact submitters to advise them of the change in situation. The Revised Development Application will also be displayed at the Trust Offices, 28 Best Avenue, Mosman (Georges Heights) and Mosman Library, 605 Military Road, Mosman.
