A reminder: lodge your comment on the Harbour Trust’s plans for Middle Head under the EPBC Act

Dear Members and Supporters,

There’s just one week left to have your say on the Trust’s plans for Middle Head / Gubba Gubba on the EPBC Act public portal. Public comment is open until Tuesday 25 November 2025.

As outlined in last week’s update HPG wants the Trust’s Project to be declared a ‘Controlled Action’ under the EPBC Act to ensure a higher level of assessment and consultation before permission is granted for the Harbour Trust to proceed with its proposed developments.

How to have your say and lodge comments

Our apologies for the error in the link to the EPBC Act public portal provided in last week’s update.

Here is the NEW CORRECT LINK to the relevant documents and comment on the EPBC Act Public Portal here ➞

To comment and/or make a submission:

1. Click on the blue ‘Make comment’ button.

2. Enter your name and contact details.

3. Select ‘YES’ to the question: ‘Do you consider this is a controlled action?’

4. In the text box provided, please enter the key reasons why you believe this project is a ‘Controlled Action.’ State your views of why this project will have major impacts on Middle Head.

5. Make sure you answer all the other questions.

6. You can also submit a document rather than using the text box provided – use the upload link at the end of the form.

7. Ensure you click the ‘Submit your comment’ button to complete.

Note: every submission is important and will be read no matter how brief your response.
