Taronga Zoo is planning a Revitalisation of the Sky Safari.

Members of the Mosman Parks & Bushland Association and the HPG committees met with Taronga Zoo last Monday to have the plans outlined for them.


We very much appreciated being consulted at this early stage of planning. However, there are some misgivings about some aspects of the proposal. As well as expanding the route and additional stations, the upgrade will require new pylons up to 40 metres in height, creating breaks in the tree canopy. 


It would be very valuable for you to be able to hear the plans for yourself and make your own judgement. Please let us know what you think, as we will be making a submission on behalf of the HPG to the Project Manager.

The Zoo is holding two community information sessions this week:

• Online: Tuesday 18 October 2022, 6.00 pm – 7.00 pm

• In-person at the Taronga Institute of Science of Learning: Saturday 22 October 2022, 11.00 am – 1.00 pm
