On October 30, 2019 the Government announced an Independent Review of the Harbour Trust, submissions are to be sent by 5pm Monday 23 December 2019.
If you need more time, or missed the deadline, you can request an extension up to early February by email: SHFTReview@environment.gov.au. Public comment is very important and we urge you to take a few minutes and make a submission. Here are some sample letters → If Trust lands are handed over to another entity, legislative protections currently in place will disappear and there is no guarantee that future protections will be sufficient to protect Trust lands including those at Middle Head, Georges Heights, Headland Park and Chowder Bay from privatisation and inappropriate development. The Harbour Trust lands are nationally important, we want them preserved for the people of Australia.
