We hope it will also increase attendance at the Minister’s Public Forum on Tuesday 18 February 6 pm – 8 pm, SMC Conference & Function Centre, 66 Goulburn St, Sydney. Harbour Trust submission

On 13 February 2020, two weeks after submissions to the Independent Review closed, the Harbour Trust Submission to the Review into itself was made available. Not surprisingly, the document contained much information that the public would have found very helpful before they made their own submissions. Read more here.

Harbour Trust Draft Leasing Policy

Also, on 30 January 2020, the day before submissions to the Independent Review closed, the Harbour Trust released their Draft Leasing Policy 2020. Read more here. The draft policy dovetails neatly with the intentions of the Harbour Trust in relation to unsolicited proposals from private interests, long leases and approval without parliamentary scrutiny. HPG considers that the de facto privatisation from unsolicited long-term leases leads to alienation of the public lands that hitherto have been carefully protected. You can make a submission on the Draft Leasing Policy until 5.00 pm Wednesday 11 March 2020. See full details here on the Harbour Trust website.
